Hello Beauty Lovers!
I went a little overboard during chic week, this was one of the purchases that is proof of that. The Deconstructed Rose Lipgloss Library set from Bite is a box set of 12 miniature lip glosses ranging from a pale pink to a rich berry. I almost didn't get this set, but then the lovely ladies on beauty talk talked me into it. And I am so happy they did.
The set costs regular $53 CAN, but with the VIB ROUGE 15% off at Sephora I got the set for $45, which makes each gloss $3.75, at regular price each gloss is $4.15 which is still a really good price. The lip glosses are small but are fantastic so the price is amazing.
To start off I have never been a gloss girl, I always prefer lipstick and tinted lip balms. I'm just not a fan of having sticky stuff on my lips. But I really do love Bite so I had to give their lip glosses a try, especially with how gorgeous this colour selection is. Plus I thought I could become a lip gloss girl, if I found glosses that I really liked.
To start off, they are a little stickier than I like when you first put them on. They feel a bit tacky, but the nice thing is they start to become a bit more creamy after about 20 minutes. And they don't feel drying at all.
The smell is lovely, usually lip glosses are vanilla, mint or playdoh scented (if you have smelled certain NYX glosses you know exactly what I am talking about) but these are a lovely light rose scent. It's not a fake scent or a perfume-y scent, it's just a lovely delicate rose scent that is unique and a nice change from other lip products.
The colours are not anywhere near opaque but they are definitely pigmented. And I love the colours, they are all so beautiful!
Overall thing set gets a solid 4.5/5 stars, great colour range, great smell, good staying power as far a I have tested, good pigmentation, the only reason a star is docked is because they are a touch too sticky for my taste, at lease for the first 20 minutes or so. So I would definitely recommend getting this set. I don't have a ton of lip gloss so this is great set for me, but I think even if you do have an abundance of them you will still like this set because the glosses are definitely unique in their scent and the shade range.
Thanks for reading my review! Tell me if you have tried this gloss set or if you are interested in getting it.
Peace, Love and Lipgloss!
