So I may or may not have spent way too much money during chic week. One of my last minute purchases came to pass after browsing sephora late Tuesday night. Whenever I go on the Sephora website I always check my favourite brands for new products. And I discovered those beauties! They are the Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil from Josie Maran. My Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee in the shade Poppy Paradise is one of my absolute favourite products for a very natural flush. I was planning on grabbing a couple more during Chic Week because I have been leaning towards more natural face makeup to help give my breakout time to heal. But these caught my eye when I was looking online. Holy lipsticks, I was so freaking excited! So of course, when I went to Sephora the next day of course I had to try them.
They are each 15mL (0.5 fl oz.) and cost $21 CAN (I believe $18 USD) and as someone who has spent twice that on a single blush and a single lip product, the price seems really low to me. Especially for how amazing the product is. The texture is very similar, if not identical to the original Infinity Creamy Oil (I will do a review of that soon), but with a beautiful light pigment added to them.
First off all the packaging is beautiful, both the box and the tube itself, it's simple but very elegant and almost comforting. And the colours of the tubes are gorgeous and vibrant. I have bought two colours so far; Limitless Pink which is a very pretty medium pink with a nice balance of cool and warm tones, I also got Timeless Coral which is a bright warm coral because I am a total sucker for coral.
As a blush they are absolutely gorgeous, they blend very easily, I simply put a small dot on each of my ring fingers and blend it onto my cheeks. It blends super smoothly without picking up my foundation. They are just so creamy and soft and they just glide on the skin to the perfect natural looking flush. I haven't tried building them up because I tend to go a bit overboard on blush, but I am sure it would be very easy to blend them up to a brighter, bolder cheek. They are super duper dewy but they don't look greasy, just bright and glow-y. Personally I like powder blushes but I find it is so easy to apply just a bit too much and look slightly clownish, with these they blend so perfectly they look beautiful on even my ultra fair skin.
As a lip product they feel incredible, super creamy and soft, I even prefer it to the texture of my favourite Burt's Bee's lip balm. The is not a ton of pigment that shows up on my lips, but I also have quite pink lips as is. It's almost like a sheer gloss or a tinted balm. But it is enough colour that on my more natural makeup days, these are perfect, and this is something that I would throw in my pocket or purse. Additionally I think the would be great over top of a lipstick that can lean towards the dry side because the hydration factor is huge.
Overall I give this a solid 4.5/5 stars, the only reason I am docking half a star is I do wish they were a touch more pigmented for the lips but this is a product that I will be using on my cheeks all summer and on my lips anytime I want a gorgeous natural lip. And so far I do prefer them to the Gelee's because I find them a lot easier to apply. With the Gelee I apply it with my beauty blender but these apply perfectly with just my fingers.
When I do my next Sephora trip I am most definitely getting Endless Guava and I may get Boundless Berry as well to see if I can wear it with my uber fair skin. I will add the swatches as soon as I try them.
Thanks for reading my review! I am going to be doing a post with my Chic Week Haul very very soon, I'm just trying to figure out how to edit some photos.
Peace, Love and Beautiful Blush!

Note: One thing I've noticed with Josie Maran's lipsticks and blushes is that the colours are very similar, from product to product, but with different names, which I do actually like. So here is my little colour translator, in case you have tried the Gelee in say Coral Oasis and love the colour but want to try the lipstick with the similar colour. So from left to write I will name first the Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee, then the Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil and then lastly the Argan Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick.
